Our Charity Values

As a team, we thrive on morale and part of that morale comes from giving back to local communities, UK Charities and International charities In need of our help.

Over the last 3 years we have given to a number of causes that we care about including:

·        Macmillan

·        Comic relief

·        Children in need

·        Save the Children

·        WWF

·        Tanhouse Morris Dance Club – helping vulnerable and disabled people

More recently the son of our directors has been involved with a school fundraising event to help Young girls in need in Tanzania.

We’d like to highlight this event to our readers, as we are incredibly proud of what the school has achieved and the hard work and dedication from the pupils.

Joe’s 75 mile challenge for Kilimanjaro Young Girls In Need – The Immanuel Family Charity

Joe joined in this Challenge with his Immanuel family, who in total pledged a MASSIVE 7530 miles, they more than smashed the challenge where staff and students aimed to collectively travel the distance between here at BD10 and Mabogini in Tanzania which is 6436 miles.

Joe had fun, and challenged himself daily, he used various way of completing his miles using the cross trainer, cycling, treadmill & walking his pooches Henry & Alvin.

Students & staff got involved with this charity challenge, with miles pledged by either walking/running/cycling/skating/hopping/skipping a set distance.

The challenge took place through the lockdown period, starting on the 11/01/2021 with the completion date by February half term.

The challenge was to support and raise money for (Kilimanjaro Young Girls in Need) in Tanzania. KYGN is a charity that Immanuel has supported quite heavily in the past. I know times seem tough for us at the moment but if ever having a bad day then please see some of the things that these guys have been through. What started as a small community project is now a registered school providing education, health care and safe house accommodation to some of the most disadvantaged children in Tanzania. KYGN's aim is to be a fully self-sustainable organisation providing education and welfare services for the children of Mabogini. They have a fish farm and are selling maize and onions from land donated to the school.  As well as having to contend with COVID over there and the same challenges that it brings such as home schooling, the fish farm and onion crop have been completely wiped out due to flooding.

Joe was sponsored £2 per mile by Connected-IT Business Services LTD & raised a WHOPPPING £150 Sponsorship!

Here at Connected-IT, we are super proud of Joe and his efforts!!!!

Well done Joe!

Joe – Year 7 student @ Immanuel College
